  16. What is Success? • ADOPTION: By its own nature, ESN tends to be adopted virally, spreading inside a department or a local office. Sometimes it's a fad and dies, sometimes it consolidates in the department, sometimes it contagiously expands to nearby departments. Global Adoption across the organization is the ultimate goal.PARTICIPATION INEQUALITY: well known principle in social media, usually described as the "1-9-90 rule": only 1% of users produce content, 9% interacts with it, 90% consumes it (that is, reads it). Of course this is why "readers" are often considered "active“… but what is active???

  25. No Friction… for Yammer Microsoft has changed its licensing to include Yammer Enterprise in its Office 365 Enterprise plans at no extra charge. Yammer Enterprise, which costs $3 per user per month when sold standalone, was previously bundled with Office 365 Enterprise only for customers with Enterprise Agreement volume licensing plans. Office 365 Enterprise customers will also no longer be required to buy Yammer licenses for users on external networks, Mike Grafham, Yammer's "head of customer success," told CRN in a Wednesday interview. "We're trying to reduce friction in organizations collaborating with each other," he said.
