Transport and Infrastructure Policy TT Covers all activities from IndII Transport program, and some activities from the IndII Policy and Investment program Transport Program (David Shelley) • Roads and Roads Safety (DGH) • Ports (MoT) • Rail (MoT) • Air (MoT) • Urban Transport (LGs and possibly MoT) Policy and Investment (Lynton Ulrich) • Public service obligations (Bappenas and MoT) • Telecommunications (DGPT) • Audit (MPW) • Land Law review (BPN proposed)

  4. Funding sources, structure and spend

  5. Role of the IndII Technical Team To meet regularly with AusAID and the IndII managing contractor (MC) to discuss program progress review activity proposals, and more generally support the implementation of the facility

  6. Scheduling and venue No set schedule, often driven by need for activity approval Usually, on average, one a month in 2009/10, With two TTs, timing will likely be one every 6 weeks or so Usually start at 10 am, or 2 pm and go for 2-3 hours...often followed by lunch or dinner Venue to date has been IndII (except for today) New ideas/modalities for TTs??

Technical Team focus To date focus has been on reviewing proposals this is due to the rapid scaling up of IndII beginning April/May 2009 in coming 12 month period we expect more emphasis on oversight and monitoring of existing activities Water and Sanitation TT activities Oversight of WSI activities (water and wastewater hibah, wastewater masterplanning) Review of Infrastructure Enhancement Grants (IEGs) in wastewater Oversight of existing IndII watsan activities Review of new proposals

Approval procedures Streamlined procedures: Initial Activity Requests (IAR) : for small activities, distributed through email for approval on a 5-day no-objection basis Activity proposals (AP): for larger activities, requiring review at a TT meeting Once approved, the MC then develops a detailed activity design and implementation plan for AusAID funding approval

  9. Other key points Communications Various modalities used, most important is the partner-access database/website Hardcopy updates of summary sheets, monthly report, calendar Emails, activity updates, prakarsa Quorum: current requirement is for minimal 2 GOI TT members TT Meeting Agenda: distributed by IndII at least 3-4 days beforehand
