Rural to Urban Migration • Indiscriminate exploitation of underground water in our Urban setting to meet the basic water needs for domestic & industrial uses, puts pressure on the groundwater resources where recharge pattern is not being considered. • Uncontrolled and increasing demand for water in our urban setting calls for adequate planning for sustainable development and sound environmental management for the groundwater resource.
