  2. Stephens believes that all students are gifted, talented and intelligent. Through the use of differentiated instructional practices, the various needs of all students can be met. With enthusiasm and eagerness to learn and explore, students continue to build upon the foundation that was established for them by dedicated teachers and staff members. School Vision

  3. Campus History Ursula Stephens Elementary was opened in the 2007-2008 school year. Stephens was named after Ursula Stephens, a Mexican American educator that served 22 years in the Katy Independent School District where Stephens is Located. In its sixth year of operation Stephens Elementary has become a pillar in the communities of Sundown Glen, Western Pines and Creek Bend by developing valuable relationships with members of the community as well as partnerships with local businesses.

  7. Campus Culture • Stephens has put forth a great effort to create a healthy and productive environment on campus. Here are just a few examples of this effort: • Opportunities given to staff to collaborate amongst themselves and with administration in matters of instruction and other school decisions. • Open door policy has been established by administration. • Leadership is empathetic of staff members • Expectations are transparent and communication flows in both directions. These are just a few examples of policies that have shaped the culture of Stephens Elementary
