  2. Uses of the Imperfect • You have learned to use the imperfect tense to describe something that used totake place regularly. • You also use the imperfect… • To describe people, places, and situations in the past: • Hacía mucho calor. El estadio estaba lleno. Los espectadores gritaban.

  3. Uses of the Imperfect • Use the imperfect to talk about a past action that was continuous or that kepthappening. (habitual action) • Los atletas se entrenaban en el gimnasio.
