Tips for using these templates • Install and use NPSRawlinsonOT and Adobe Frutiger Std. These OpenType fonts are available from the NPS Graphic Identity Program website at www.graphics.nps.gov • Keep text to an absolute minimum. • Use photographs, illustrations, simple charts or graphics to convey key points whenever possible. • Remember: you the speaker are the focus of the presentation; the slides should simply illustrate and compliment the key points of your presentation.
How these templates are formatted • The serif typeface NPSRawlinsonOT is used for slide titles because it provides elegant letterforms that reinforce the agency’s rich graphic history. • The sans-serif typeface Adobe Frutiger Std. is used for text, bullet items, and captions because of its open letterforms and readability at smaller sizes. • A black overbar, arrowhead silhouette, and agency slogan are placed on all slide backgrounds to help maintain and reinforce the agency’s identity. • A medium-speed “Fade Smoothly” transition has been assigned to all slides in the Slide Master.
