BCI 2006-07 EAC Recommendations • Future BCI surveys should cover more EAC business towns in addition to capital cities. • Documented impact of NTBs –Time, Cost, extra payments should form main agenda of NMC discussions aimed at solutions to NBTs and Business Climate Factors. • EABC/ EAC/National Associations use BCI findings to lobby EAC MDAs for change in procedures/ regulations. BCI 2006/07 has some guidelines on changes required. • Future BCI should use 2006/07 BCI baseline data to compare whether improvements or deteriorations occur in business climate and impact of procedures/ regulations to business operations.
