FAST Radar – Key Features at P&G • Web Services as a data source • Parameter based web service support allows extensive re-use of underlying web services • Web services security support allows security context to be passed through to the web services layer – results in tighter security and user based data being returned • URL Parameterized Reports • Extends re-use by allowing filters to come from external as well as internal sources. For example, P&G uses there own prompting solution with Radar reports. • Report parameter values can be passed through to the underlying web service • Other parameters can control look and feel of a report • Portal Compatibility • Externally addressable reports and other objects can be consumed through external portals – ALUI, SharePoint, etc. • Portlet compatibility allows reports to be consumed as native portlets vs. external pages as “iframes”. • Secure, Web Based Admin Interface • Simple to use web based report creation allows easy creation, deployment, and management of reports.
