  2. Location Off the Coast of Florida in the Caribbean Cuba is about a 42,000 square mile island. Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean.

  3. People Of Cuba • Population - 11,451,652 (As of July 2010) • Ethnic Groups - 65.1% White, 24.8% Mulatto and Mestizo, 10.1% Black. • Language - Spanish • Age Distribution - 0-14 years: 18.3%, 15-64 years: 70.4%, 65 years and over: 11.2%

  4. Demographics • Labor Forces – Agriculture: 4.3%, Industry: 21.6%, Services: 74% • Unemployment rate – 1.7% • Wealth Distribution – Lowest 10%: NA%, Highest 10%: NA% • Agriculture - sugar, tobacco, citrus, coffee, rice, potatoes, beans; livestock

  5. Industries • Industries: Sugar, Petroleum, Tobacco, with the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry as they’re fastest growing industry. Sugar Cane Petroleum Tobacco
