  1. Unit 4 Speaking Levelling Test! • Will happen on Monday • Will involve me asking you questions • Will test whether you can reach Level 3, Level 4 or Level 5 when you are speaking German

  2. How to get Level 3+ • Answer in full sentences • Make each answer 2 or 3 sentences long, so that they are paragraphs. • Get the verbs right for ‘ich’ (ich ___e or ichmag) • Speak clearly so that I can understand you

  3. How to get Level 4+ • Never give an answer that is shorter than 2 sentences. • Answer about yourself, then give details about a friend or family member • Sometimes answer with a negative • Remember to give your own opinions about things

  4. How to get Level 5+ • Answer questions in the present tense, and then give a detail in the past tense, for as many as you can • Link shorter sentences together with linking words to make them into more complex sentences • Make your pronunciation ‘quite good’ - concentrate on ö, ä, ü and the ‘ch’ sound • Also include everything from Level 4
