Individuals – planning ahead Financial Communicating pensions changes FSA Money Guidance Citizens Advice - Financial Skills for Life Health NHS mid-life check Later career and pre-retirement Adult Advancement and Careers Service Pre-retirement courses Services to be drawn together on-line, by phone, and face to face into a ‘one-stop-shop’

Individuals – in later life Active at 60 programme Designed to include improved information on what’s available to people as they approach later life Starting at a national level, and working with local authorities to provide locally All-in-one cards Testing cards that provide entitlements and services in local areas Health “prevention” package Planned to address dietary and specific health conditions that impact on people in later life.

  7. Family life • Recognising the role of grandparents • Building on Budget 2009 announcement of availability of NI credits for caring • Starting with a summit on grandparenting • Green Paper on families planned for the Autumn

Workplace and economy • Default Retirement Age • Review brought forward to 2010. • Age Positive initiative • Extending the initiative to help improve employer attitudes on senior workers. • New markets • Innovation and Growth team of experts from business, academia and the age sector to identify potential market opportunities from demographic change.
