News • Additional budget request for electron sources has been added in the 5-year Mid-Term-Plan of CERN. • ~2/3 of requested budget is included •  rest should come from more in-kind contributions from institutes. • Entire MTP plan has to be approved in June 2014 by the CERN Council. • Fellow committee at CERN: • Several fellow request for AWAKE E. Next Steps • Task group owners makes sure that the dead-lines in the current tables (and those which come up) are taken care of. • Until the next TB meeting each task-owner • Prepares for each task the milestones • Allows to check how this fits into the general planning and whether there are any issues for any tasks. • completes the tables shown in the kick-off meeting (tasks to be done/needed input from others) • Fills out the equipment needs table. • Next TB meeting: Monday 19 May 2014 at 14:00 ✔  ongoing, to be presented in next TB! ✔ The AWAKE experiment depends strongly on your commitment.  please respect the adherence adherence to target dates! If yes, how many Units (standard AxBxC for 1U) and what is the max. distance between rack and equipment. (CERN provides standard racks) • Do you need cables to the control room (1000m distance)? If yes, which type of cables and how many? • Do you have vacuum pumps, motors, chillers or other auxiliary equipment that needs to be installed? If yes, please give dimensions, weight etc. as above PLUS maximum distance from main equipment. • Does your equipment (or its auxiliaries) need any of the following (if yes, please specify quantities, levels, …): • Gas/Vacuum/UPS back-up/Ethernet/ E.
