Roadmap for Higher Pulse Repetition Frequencies in WSN

This submission proposes a terminology roadmap for higher pulse repetition frequencies (PRF) in the IEEE P802.15 Working Group for Wireless Specialty Networks (WSN). It addresses the question of "what is 'higher'?" and provides a roadmap for future levels of higher PRF.

Levels of higher in 15.4z • “Higher” must be higher than something, and in this case, shall be (as is clearly stated) some PRF higher than the defined base PRF (64 MHz) • In 16.3.4 we define HPRF as mean PRF of 249.6 MHz and 124.8 MHz. • Propose to define an explicit term for each level of PRF so “higher” may be precisely defined: • HPRF is a PRF defined in the following table that is greater than High PRF

Levels of higher in 15.4z • It has been established incontrovertibly that three things are certain: Death,Taxes [1] and Future amendments to 802.15.4 • While the first two are are out of scope of this presentation, in anticipation of the third, we should extend PRF level table to address taking PRF to foreseeable, unlikely, improbable and impossible levels: [1] “Death and Taxes,” from Christopher Bullock, The Cobler of Preston (1716).
