What does Targeted Support and Improvement mean for MMES • Needs assessment conducted with the staff • Quarterly progress reports as well as, sharing the information with stakeholders • School Performance Plan contains our short and long term goals with ELA and Math; specifically in the subgroups of FRL and ELL. • Grant money from SB 178 • Focus Math • 2 long term substitutes for math intervention and support • Teacher’s Assistant to assist with NvKids reading intervention and support • More leveled readers for classroom use

School Performance Goals and Objectives19-20 • ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS GOAL • Our goal is to ensure English Language Arts instruction supports rigor and growth towards proficiency for all students by focusing on implementation of the ELA curriculum, Benchmark, the Core Instructional Practices aligned to NvACS., and academic interventions for students performing below the 25th percentile. Overall scores in ELA show our school's proficiency data at 40%. Our grade level proficiency data is as follows: Third grade 34%, Fourth grade 29%, Fifth grade 31%, and Sixth grade 62%. Our proficiency data did not meet the long term target of 57%. Our proficiency data for our Economically Disadvantaged, 30%, and our English Language Learners, 7%, did not meet the long term goals set for 2019. • ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS OBJECTIVES • Marvin Moss will increase the proficiency of all students to 59.5% on the ELA Smarter Balanced Assessment. Marvin Moss will increase proficiency of the subgroups of Economically Disadvantaged and the English Language Learners. Economically Disadvantaged will increase proficiency to 38.8% and English Language Learners will increase to 21.2% on the ELA Smarter Balanced Assessment by the end of the 2020 school year.

Goals and Objectives Continued • MATH GOALS • Our goal is to ensure growth to proficiency for all students by focusing on Core Instructional Practices in implementing NvACS and district curriculum (Bridges, Envisions) during our Math Instructional Block. Our overall math proficiency for the school is 39%. Our target for 2019 was 48.5%. Our grade level data is the following: Third grade 38%, Fourth grade 35%, Fifth grade 25%, and Sixth grade 57%. Proficiency data for our Economically Disadvantaged is 28% and for English Language Learners is 20%. The long term targets were not met for either group. • MATH OBJECTIVES • Marvin Moss will increase proficiency for all students on the Math Smarter Balanced Assessment to 51.1% by the end of the 2020 school year. The Economically Disadvantaged and English Language will also increase proficiency. Economically Disadvantaged subpopulation will increase to 34.6% and the English Language Learners subpopulation will increase to 27.6% on the Math Smarter Balanced Assessment by the end of the 2020 school year.

Professional Development Goals • Implementation of Bridges (K-1) and Envisions (2-5) with consistency and fidelity. • Focus Math Intensive Intervention for students performing in the 25th percentile and below. • Weekly common assessments • Math pacing guide followed with consistency and fidelity. • Weekly common planning with grade level PLC's. • SBAC Interim Assessments • Equity peer observations focusing on differentiation, engaging multiple learning styles, and feedback. • Equity and Diversity professional development with WCSD Equity and Diversity Dept.

Continued • Implementation of Leveled Literacy Intervention for the 6th-20th percentile grades K-5. • Phonics First for the 1st-5th percentile grades K-3. • Rigorous grade level text daily. • Implementation of the Benchmark Literacy Curriculum for grades K-5. • Weekly common assessments, from Benchmark, conducted. • Guided Reading groups 5x a week for intervention and enrichment. • Common planning time through PLC's • Peer observations to focus on the culturally responsive practices - Equity Walkthrough • Equity and Diversity 4x throughout the year.
