  2. The Man of Law is a lawyer in the Modern day. • He is a well- educated man, which is displayed during the prologue to his tale. • Chaucer ask the man of the law to tell a story but the man of the law said there is no story. • But Chaucer respect the Man of Law because

  3. He is an honest man who works hard and does his job very well. • But The Man of Law decides to tell his story in prose or ordinary language to see his tale and which are written in verse. • The man of Law explains that he heard tale from the Merchant many years ago.

  4. He begins by describing how poverty can change a person and control. Poverty makes people steal such as beg for money .because people are very extremely poor they need food to eat and cloth to wear.

  5. As you know the rich people are always happy • and smile all the time why?? Because they are rich.

So it began the Man of Law’s Tale or sergeant of Law. • 1 The story begins with the company of a wealthy traded in syria After spending some time there in Rome, they hear about a beautiful girl name Constance The Emperor’s Daughter. • They Returned to Syria and told their sultan about the Girl. He wanted to marry her but the sultan was Muslim and Constance was Christian so the emperor would not allowed to marry.

  7. So the sultan converted to Christianity, the emperor agreed that the sultan can marry her. • They a force to leave her friends and family and go Italy. She gets on the ship and sails away

  8. Part 2 • She was nearby warden of castle found her and gave her shelter.

  9. The A Knight saw Constance, he fall in love with her just to revenge warden’s and the knight killed the warden’s wife and put the knife near by Constance.

  10. The king Allaknow that Constance was innocence and the Knight said I saw her killing your wife. The king Alla ask to swear on the book to the Knight and he die.

  11. By king Alla seeing the Knight die, he converted to Christianity. • He and Constance were marry.

  12. While Alla was goes to the war, Constance gave birth to son • Allamother send a letter saying that his son was evil and King Alla said its my family I love him anyway and I will take cared of him. • When Alla return home he killed her mother

  13. And Constance went to another land. • Alla was searching for her and he found her again and they live together for a wile and king Alla die and Constance moved back to Rome.
