  2. LNPS • FIELDS Power • LNPS powers MEB slices • HFR/TNR • TDS • DFB • Mag-Outer • Mag-Inner • AEB • ICU • LNPS powers Sensors • E Preamps (4+) – via AEB? – regulated? • SCM – via TDS? • DC Mag Sensors – via mag boards • Heaters • FGM (2) – AC heater power/control from MAG and/or LNPS via MAGs • SCM – DC heater power/control from TBD • E Preamp (4+) – DC heater power/control from S/C TBD • E Antenna rate limiters (4) – DC heater power/control from S/C TBD • We’ve started collecting the required voltages and currents

  3. LNPS Baseline • Baseline does not include DC heater power control • Pass-thru possible • Baseline does not include AC heater power generation or control – done on separate MAG boards • Baseline does not include E antenna or mag boom deploys • to be done by S/C • Baseline has HV/FV production on AEB • Baseline does not have sub-system on/off switching • Baseline does not include redundancy • Baseline requires 1 switched service for operation • Baseline requires 1 un-switched service for survival heaters • Always on (survival and operational heating)

  4. LNPS options • AC heater power for DC Mags could be produced with one circuit in LNPS to increase efficiency • How to control? Always on? Thermistor? • Power switching could be added to allow full control of subsystems and power consumed • Indications are that this is not required or desired at S/C • S/C will have power – they seemed bothered by power modes • Could require ~30 SS switches • More switches - less good • A simple LNPS split could help • Gives modest redundancy • Gives two power modes
