  2. Attention Students WLTX, Channel 19 and BiLo are once again joining forces to recognize outstanding teachers who make a difference in his or her students’ lives. Each Tuesday, an outstanding educator will be featured on News 19 Friends @ Five and then again the next morning during News 19 @ 6 am. If you would like to recognize YOUR teacher, go to the WLTX website to do so!

  3. Student Activities & Athletics

  4. SHOW Your GHS SPIRIT! Don't forget to come by Room 114 to get your Spirit Shirt for 2012!!  Only $10 each to show your class and school pride!!  Don't be the only one without one!!

  5. Help your class win the "Spirit Week" competition by purchasing SPIRIT LINKS in the commons area during lunch. They are only 10 cents each. • Also, Sonic value cards are available for only $5 each. Each card contains 10 savings offers that include "buy one - get one free" deals and 99 cent deals.

  6. Attention Students University of South Carolina Admissions Representative will be in the Guidance Career Library tomorrow on September 12 from 3:30-4:00. Any students who would like additional information about USC should stop by.

  7. More Student Opportunities… A representative for the Governor’s School of Arts and Humanities will be in the Guidance Career Library on September 14 from 3:30-4:00.  Any students who would like additional information about the Governor’s School of Arts should stop by.

  8. Attention LTC Students • If you are scheduled for LTC courses second semester and would like to join the LTC National Technical Honor Society for 2012-13, please stop by your home school guidance office to sign up by Monday, September 17.  If you meet the below requirements, you will be contacted in the near future.

  9. GHS EVENTS Wed. 9/12 – Cross Country @ HOME, 5 pm Thurs. 9/13 – JV football vs. Pelion, AWAY, 7:00 pm Fri. 9/14 – Varsity Football vs. Pelion, HOMECOMING, 7:30 pm

  10. Open Gym On Friday, Sept 14, 2012 during 4th block the PE Department will be having a fundraiser for an Open Gym.  This is a fundraiser for the Lex Lives Initiative.  The cost to participate is $5.00.  You may buy your pass from Coach Halloran, Coach Kennerly, or Coach Gooding during lunch, before school, or in the gym area.  We will begin taking money starting TODAY! 

  11. Juniors & Seniors Juniors and Seniors: Did you miss ordering your class rings or senior supplies? Never fear! Jostens will be coming back Thursday, Sept. 13th during lunch to take orders and payments. If you need an order packet, please stop by room 122.

  12. BAGELS!!!! Bagels are back! Your favorite flavors from Breugger's Bagels will be on sale every Thursday for $1.50 per bagel. Cream cheese is an extra 25cents. Stop by the HOSA Bagel Stretcher this Thursday to get your bagel!
