Flexible genome retrieval for supporting in-silico studies of endobacteria-AMFs

This study focuses on the tripartite system of endobacteria, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMFs), and plant roots. It explores the potential practical impacts of symbiotic consortia and utilizes a comparative genomics approach to infer phylogenetic relationships and metabolic functions. A computational environment is created to support the study of AMF-endobacteria interactions. The architecture of the system involves flexible data retrieval, storage, and visualization tools. The case-based reasoning paradigm is employed for flexible retrieval, allowing for efficient searching and reuse of past successful solutions. The study also introduces multi-dimensional index structures and interactive query refinement/generalization for efficient retrieval. The future work includes completing the tool implementation, conducting experiments on RefSeq NCBI data, and publishing new applications as new GMOD modules.
