LET’S TALK ENERGY OVERVIEW Run by the Canada Science and Technology Museum and started in 2011, Let’s Talk Energy is a national initiative that aims to enhance energy and climate awareness among Canadians to contribute to a prosperous and sustainable future Provide a platform for discussions on energy and climate literacy in a fun and engaging manner that is rooted in scientific evidence, and promotes productive and respectful conversations To date a reach of more than 9 million people

  3. EXHIBITIONS AND PROGRAMS Three award-winning exhibitions at Canada Aviation and Space Museum, Canada Science and Technology Museum, and Canada Agriculture and Food Museum Three travelling exhibitions Exhibitions seen by more than 4 million visitors

  4. TALK ENERGY WEEK Only energy-awareness week of its kind in Canada, last week of February To date, 4+ million people reached through events in malls, partner museums, and speaker series 2017 focus on transportation and climate, with events in schools & museums in every province and territory

  5. NATIONAL OUTREACH National network of partners in museums, academia, NGO’s, industry, and government Daily updates on social media platforms – Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube

LET’S TALK ENERGY 2018-2020 • Energy and climate are two of the most important issues facing humanity • Examine the role of mitigation and adaptation in climate change, with a focus on innovation • Build on success of previous years: • Reach more schools, especially in northern regions • Focus on connections between energy and climate

CLIMATE CHANGE VIDEO SERIES Blend science and extreme sports to explore climate change in some of Canada’s most iconic locations Film short videos with Environment and Climate Change, Parks Canada, and Will Gadd, Canada’s top ice climber Use shots of Canadian wilderness and extreme sports blended with scientific expertise to tell the story of our changing landscape

EXHIBITIONS Fully redesigned gallery with focus on Canada’s energy system in new Science and Technology Museum Climate Change is Here – travelling outdoor exhibition in partnership with National Geographic, currently in Mexico City, travelling to Monterrey, and Washington DC To What Degree - Canada in a Changing Climate
