  10. Science Home Support & Monitoring • Emphasize on key words / concepts / phrases • Foundation Science: learn word list • Get your child to identify the topic, recall key concepts and key words, and identify which key phrases in their answers will be awarded marks.

Mother Tongue Language Home Support & Monitoring • Encourage usage of good phrases (constant reminders when child is writing compositions at home) • Discuss with your child how the last picture can be interpreted creatively • Expose child to various reading materials (improves vocabulary) • Remind child to check the marks allocated to each question and write appropriately

Mother Tongue Language Home Support & Monitoring • Child should allocate time for each question • Remind child not to lift sentences directly from the passages • Encourage your child to read the passages several times to gain better understanding • Draw them into discussions pertaining to school happenings, current events, friends.
