  2. Line, in terms of art is a moving dot.

  3. Lines can show you where an object ends. These lines are called contour lines (outlines).

  4. Line can also create the illusion of form.

  5. Line quality is the thickness or thinness of a line.

  6. Line quality can be used to add variety and the illusion of form.

  7. Cross contour lines follow the contours or form of the object. They can be used communicate the form of the object further and create shadow.

  8. Line Exercises • Draw as many different lines as possible on your paper • Blind Contour Line Drawing • Contour Line Drawing • Thicken up lines to enhance line quality • Cross contour lines to show form
