This presentation, given by Dr. Dianne Zager at the DADD Showcase Session during the CEC Convention in Nashville, focuses on the unique challenges and strengths of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and nonverbal learning disabilities. Supported by Pace University's Center for Teaching and Research in Autism, the program aims to empower academically capable young adults with ASD to thrive in a college environment. Services provided include special admission criteria, individualized advisement, academic support, residential assistance, career development, and peer mentoring, all designed to foster full integration into campus life.
