  1. Warm up 5/01/13 • Question: If 100 J of work are done in 4 seconds, what is the power? • Answer: • P = W/t • 100 J / 4 S = 25 watts • Goal: I will calculate my own power.

  2. Element of the day • 72 – Hafnium – Hf • Hafnium has a high melting point and is extremely resistant to corrosion even at high temperatures, so it is perfect for plasma torches, which are used to cut through steel.
