Since January 20th, 2011 • Visited Surigao twice – (Fel) • Visited Surigao twice – (Jong) • Visited Cebu twice – (Annalisa) • Visited Negros twice – (Annalisa) • Visited Bicol / Legazpi City once – (Crissy) • Visited Tagbilaran several times (Jong, Stuart, Crissy) • Visited Inabanga twice (Fel, Stuart, Jong) • Visited S. Leyte once (Crissy) • Visited S. Leyte once (Jong) • Visited Samal twice (Fel) • Conducted TWG roll out in most sites

Since January • TWG and PCRA Planning • KAP reviews, surveys approved • Bank account setups • RP milestones • Budget review – budget system in place • LAP Supervisor meetings • LMP Mayors workshop • Module 3 preparations – templates for BROP / KAP / Monitoring plan • MERF preparations (our site baselines)

  4. Guests • Steve Watkins • Film crew- Philippine sites (Bohol, Negros) • LMP workshop – Cantilan and Cortes, Surigao Del Sur, Bacacay Mayors attended • Visiting Surigao / Samal in April

  5. Current Initiatives • Partnership with GIZ under ACCCoast • MERF relationship • Film making – Philippines and US production • Philippines 2 – Brooke – rolling out

  6. April - May • Mindanao trip – April 15-18th • Team will all be in USA from April 22- May 14th • Team will all be in Bohol – May 15th – June 5 preparing for Module 3 • MPA ManCom assessment and MPA effectiveness will be ongoing • MERF assessment will be ongoing

  7. Milestones Ahead • This will be the last time we see you all until Module 3 • Hope to have Alternate CF’s, LCE’s and supervisors join us in Bohol at some point (Last week) • Next Retreat – 3 week of September, no venue yet

  8. Top 3 Milestones – for an invitation to Module 3 you will need • KAP surveys are finished (and analyzed) • PCRA data / community consultation and • ManCom’s formed • MPA Governance Plan (BROP)
