Hypotheses • Farming as a way to battle economic issues • Using farming as a way to escape corporate America • A way to escape mechanization and become closer to the earth • The enjoyment of knowing where your food is coming from • The connection of women farmers and a bond that is not found as much with women and men together or just men • Small farms being run by women because of strength and manageability issues • Farming because it is what their family has done in the past • Farming to become more sustainable and environmentally friendly
