  1. In your composition book, please re-read the essay you wrote and give it a rating (ex: Novice High, Intermediate Mid, etc.).

  2. Task: You have been asked to write an article for a French teen magazine called Ado. They are doing a special “celebrations around the world” edition and the editors have asked you write a piece in which you describe what your favorite holiday in the United States is like. Some questions you may what to consider would be: When is the holiday? Is it a very important holiday here? What is its purpose? What do we do to celebrate it? Does your family have any special traditions related to this holiday? Why is this your favorite holiday? Your essay should be well organized, so you may want to plan it on scarp paper before you put it in your composition book! Finally, please write what proficiency level you think your essay is. You can do this at the top of the first page.
