Homework • Monthly reading logs • Due at the beginning of the month • Sent home each month but can also be found on the website • 15 minutes-Policy • Weekly letter assignments • Due date every Tuesday unless otherwise listed • Schedule sent home, but also on website • Please only send in one letter at a time • Do not include labels! • Go over the pictures • T, C, S-BE CAREFUL! • I will label any additional assignments with a due date

  4. Report Cards • 2 Report Cards for Kindergarten • January • June (Graduation) • Semesters • Report card is an assessment; they do not receive grades

  5. Arrival/Dismissal • Tardy-Must check in at office • Dismissal-I need to see you to dismiss your child • Please send a note if your child is going home with someone else • Extended Day-Please tell me if you have not already

  6. Uniform • P.E. Uniform • MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS (Unless otherwise noted. Ex: Holy Days) • P.E. Sweatshirt with P.E. Uniform/Maroon sweater with regular uniform • PLEASE LABEL WITH NAME! • No polos with jumpers, must have the blouse • Please make sure girls’ hair is pulled away from face • No nail polish/long jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, earrings for safety)

  7. Supplies • Have you brought in…. • Art Smock? • Change of Clothes? • Rest Mat? • Rosary? • Extra Sock? • Scissors • Blunt Tip not Pointed • Backpacks-We do not search

  8. Star of the Week/Show and Tell • Star of the week schedule was sent home, and on website • Bring in 3-6 pictures • “All About Me Tee” • Show and tell • Every Thursday • Small item (backpack) • Refrain from anything valuable and/or breakable • No toy weapons or toys holding weapons

  9. Snack/Birthdays • Snack • Healthy • Separate bag from lunch • 1 or 2 • Can bring water or a juice box • No nuts and peanuts due to severe allergies in the class. All classrooms in school are now peanut and nut free. Lunch-ok. • Birthday treats • Must e-mail me to schedule • Please send in list of ALL ingredients

  10. Volunteers • Please sign up before you leave for a volunteer position • Confidentiality • Must be Virtus trained- check in office if you are not sure • 2 Field Trips • Fall-Cox Farms • Winter/Spring-TBD • Room Parents • Mrs. Robbins • Mrs. Bliss

Letter of the Week Guests • Please sign up to come in for a letter of the week • Can do ANYTHING that begins with that letter • Can be parent, family member, friend, neighbor, etc. • E-mail me to designate a specific time and date for the week • Examples: • Letter C-Cookies and read If You Give A Mouse A Cookie • Letter B-Made home made bread • Letter Y-Parent worked in youth ministry • Letter M-Parent in military • Letter P-Decorated Pinecones • Letter M-Made picture frames for the Moms • Letter S-Scrapbooking page

  12. Discipline Plan • Listed in the Kindergarten Handbook and Handout at seat • Currently working on listening to the teacher and not talking while the teacher is talking.

  13. Wellness • Please have your child use the bathroom prior to coming to school • If they are sick-let them stay home! • 24 hour rule • Please make sure your child gets enough sleep • Standard for 5 year old-10+ hours (US Department of Health and Human Services AND The National Sleep Foundation) • We have mandatory rest time
