  1. 45 Days Notification period for Transfer & Reassignment Period Up to 6 Months in Regular Layoff Period Reduction in Force Process Flow Map Termination of Employment Relationship AND Vacation Payout Written Notification to Employee Separation Pay Department Should Process: 1) PAF with Action of Leave of Absence (LOA) and Reason of Special Leave Status (SLS) 2) Additional Pay Form for Separation Pay to be paid in a lump sum. 3) Pay out Personal Days for Exempt staff. • Department Should Process: • PAF with Action of Termination and Reason of Elimination of Position (ELI) • PMF to inactivate the Position being eliminated • Additional Pay Form for Lump Sum Vacation Payout* (unless previously requested by staff member) *The vacation payout can occur at the end of separation pay or at the end of the 6 month period at the request of the employee. If the payout is not processed prior to termination, the payout will occur as a lump sum at termination.
