Gene Expression Analysis of Breast Cancer Cell Lines and Normal Breast Epithelial Cells

This study investigates the expression levels of key genes in various breast cancer cell lines (MDA-MB-231, MCF-7, MCF-10A) and normal human mammary epithelial cells (HMEC). Using PCR amplification across 20, 25, and 29 cycles, we analyze transcripts including CUL-5 (674 bp) and Ribosomal Protein S9 (411 bp). The assay includes a 100 bp ladder for size verification, emphasizing the differences in gene expression profiles among the tested cell lines. The findings contribute to understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying breast cancer progression.
