  1. Policies and Procedures Training:

  2. ___ ____ _______ Play House Policies • Check-In as a volunteer (“Attendant”) and wear your nametag. • Please be in your assigned classroom by 5:40pm (Saturday Service), 8:50 am (Sunday 1st service) or 10:50 (Sunday 2nd service) to prepare to greet the children and their parents. • Put all personal items out of reach. Put on your nursery volunteer nametag. Please do not bring food or drinks into the nursery. • All visitors must check in at the children's welcome desk where they will fill receive a tag for their child as well as a check-in slip. They will also receive instructions on picking up their child and the paging system. Then the visitors will be escorted to their child's room. Greet him or her warmly by name and make sure that they are written in on the class role.

  3. Take the child from his/her parent over the pass-through door. Parents are NOT to come in the room to drop off their child. This takes up additional space and may upset other children. Explain that a quick separation is best for them and their child, and that they will be paged if their child doesn’t calm down. • Snacks will be provided in the room. Please wash hands before preparing the snack. Also, be aware that some children have food allergies. NO additional snacks should be brought in for the entire class (parents of children with allergies may sometimes bring in a special snack for their child). • All diapers should be changed during the service. Please change diapers on the changing pad provided. Only female lead teachers change diapers. Please use gloves and wash hands after EACH diaper change, and then wipe down the changing pad with a Clorox wipe or spray with Citrace disinfectant. • Make every effort to calm an upset child. If after 15 minutes a child is inconsolable, page the parent using the number located on the child’s tag.

  4. Release children over the half-door and only to parents or guardians ONLY IF THEY PRESENT YOU WITH A CHECK OUT SLIP. • Please see the clean-up checklist after all the children have been released: • Pick up all toys and return them to their appropriate shelves/bins. • Spray disinfectant spray, Citrace, on all toys, swings, rockers, exersaucers, bouncy seats, cribs, etc. Wipe down toys when necessary. • Wipe down all counters with Clorox wipes. • Strip all used sheets/blankets from cribs and place in laundry basket in closet. Replace with clean sheets which can be found in the closet. • Last service-put all trash in trashcans, tie it up and leave outside the door for pick up.
