  2. Satanic Attacks Believersand Non-Believers • Satan attacks us – he is like “a roaring lion, seeking who he may devour”(1 Peter 5:8) • Satan is “the prince and power of the air” (Eph. 2:2) • Satan is the “accuser of the brethren”(Rev. 12:10)

  3. Satanic Attacks in Genesis • Attack on Planet Earth where the earth became “without form and void” – God repaired the damage(Gen. 1:1-2) • Attack on Adam and Eve with the eating of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil – God promised Jesus to die on a tree for the sin of Adam and all sins(Gen. 3:13-15)

  4. Attack on children of Adam and Eve with Cain killing Abel - God gave them more sons starting with Seth (Gen. 4:28-29) • Attack on world with intermarrying of the “sons of God” with women on the earth who became giants – the flood wiped them out (Gen. 6:1-7) Satanic Attacks in Genesis - cont.

  5. Satanic Attacks in Genesis – cont. • Attack on the world through a false religion (Nimrod) and through the attempt to build a huge temple – God confounded their languages. (Gen. 11:5-9) • Cities became corrupted such as Sodom and Gomorrah – God destroyed the cities with fire and brimstone, but rescued Lot and his family although his wife became a pillar of salt (Gen. 19:23-26)

Satanic Attacks on Christ – cont. • Temptations of Christ (40 days in the wilderness – Luke 4) • Tempted to turn stone to bread – Jesus said “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God” (v. 3-4) • Tempted to give the kingdoms of the world to Jesus if He worshipped the Devil (v. 4-8) – Jesus said “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and Him only shalt thou serve.” • Tempted to cast Himself down off a pinnacle of a temple – Jesus said, “Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God” (v. 9-13)
