THE SUN SONG

THE SUN SONG. Our star the sun is a big ball of gas. And it’s 99 percent of the solar system’s mass. It’s an average star in our Milky Way. Warming the Earth everyday. What powers our sun and makes it so bright?. Come on and tell me what makes all that light?.

  1. THE SUN SONG

  2. Our star the sun is a big ball of gas

  3. And it’s 99 percent of the solar system’s mass

  4. It’s an average star in our Milky Way

  5. Warming the Earth everyday

  6. What powers our sun and makes it so bright?

  7. Come on and tell me what makes all that light?

  8. Hans Bethe long ago reached the conclusion

  9. It changes Hydrogen to Helium by nuclear fusion. When fusion takes place

  10. Light is created and makes its way out.

  11. Through the photosphere, that’s the part that we see, the light comes out

  12. And shines you and me. ooohhhh

  13. About a million of Earths could fit in the sun

  14. But if you were there you wouldn’t have much fun

  15. It’s six thousand degrees (6.000) AT THE PHOTOSPHERE

  16. And much hotter inside the solar atmosphere. There are few places where

  17. It’s not so hot, like at the centre of the big sunspot

  18. But heat is relative, it’s still pretty warm

  19. Sitting on a sun spot would do you great harm

  20. Galileo discovered sunspots

  21. What are those things, those funny dots?

  22. They’re cooler parts, scientists feel

  23. Caused by a stronger magnetic field. The spots move around the

  24. The face of the sun, providing to all….solar rotation

  25. A strange kind of movement, to do a full roll

  26. 25 in the middle and 36 at the poles

  27. What about flares?

  28. I’ve heard of them here, they’re like giant explosions in the chromosphere

  29. The magnetic fields above those sunspots, reconnecting

  30. Again after being in knots. Above the chromosphere

  31. The corona is placed, it’s million of degrees and reaches way into

  32. Space, it’s very thin, but read my lips

  33. That’s the part that you see in a solar eclipse.

  34. That’s the end of our song about Mr. sun

  35. We hope you find that learning is fun,

  36. But never look at the sun you could go blind

  37. Just keep on enjoying that warm sunshine
