  1. Iroquois The Native Americans ate corn, squash, seeds, nuts, chicken and a lot of other foods, too. Sometimes they hunted for their own food and they cooked it. They would skin off the meat and then they would eat it. The fathers would hunt and then the mothers would cook, clean, and take care of the home. Roxana and Katy

  2. Iroquois tribe Iroquois men are known for building longhouses. Longhouses are separated by gender. Only men live in one longhouse. Next to their house is a longhouse for women. The longhouses are mostly made out of wood. Jacob and Tyrique

RENALDO The crafts were the things that they used and made. They made a comb out of deerskin, beads ,sticks. They used berries for paint. The storage bag was made from deerskin and beads. Thao

  5. Pueblo Tribe Did you know that the Pueblo tribes built their houses out of clay ?They make the clay out of mud and water and their houses are shaped like boxes. Nahid and Marnovan

  7. Sioux tribe We drew a tepee because we wanted to show how the Sioux Indians lived. The teepees were made out of buffalo skin and or deer skin. As you can see there is smoke coming out of the top of the teepee because the Sioux women cook inside of the them. By: Jamie and Emily

  8. The Sioux The Sioux used a lot of weapons to protect their tribe. They rode on horses with spears, bows and arrows and double axes. Sometimes they made weapons out of animals bones. They also used these weapons to hunt for deer and buffalo. The Sioux Indians also hunted for foxes and coyotes. By: Francisco and Denilson

  9. Cherokee Tribe The Cherokee tribe live in houses made of wood covered with mud and grass inside and out. The roof was made of tree bark. The Cherokee tribe also used many tools to hunt animals. By: Leo and Ken

  10. Cherokee The Cherokee made booger masks and pottery. Booger masks were used to make fun of their enemies. Dominique and Nubia

  11. The Sioux Tribe The Sioux are hunting the buffalo. They are riding horses so they could kill the buffalo more faster. Some villagers are helping hunt the buffalo. Jose and Juan

  12. Sioux The Sioux Indians lived in tepees so that whenever they wanted to move they would just fold their tepee. This made it easy to migrate from place to place. They also carry their tepees so that they do not have to build another tepee. Montel and Jose O.

  13. Pueblo Tribe The Pueblos use blankets as wraps around their bodies. The ladies wear colorful dresses. The dresses wrap around their bodies and tie around their shoulders. Corn is very special to the Pueblo. They eat deer, wheat, beans, corn, squash and peppers. Sarah and Maryrose

  14. The Pueblo These are some of the houses the Pueblo live in. Their houses are made out of adobe clay. The Pueblo men built houses and hunted. The Pueblo women cooked, took care of the kids and cleaned. Jake and Nelson

  15. Nez Perce Meat is very important to the Nez Perce tribe. They eat buffalo, deer, fish, salmon, trout, elk, fruit and corn. If the horses are sick or hurt, the men kill them and eat them. Women cook the food and the men hunt for the food. Grant, Lainey

  16. Nez Perce Nez Perce Indians made their clothing out of buffalo skin and deer skin. They use feathers and beads for decorations. The men wore breechcloths. When it got colder the men added deerskin shirts, leggings and moccasins. Women wore dresses, leggings and moccasins. In special cases the clothes were beaded. by Binta and Daniela

  17. CHEROKEE SOUTHEAST WOODLANDS CHEROKEE INDIANS LIVED IN CHICKEE HOUSES. The Seminole Trible in Florida built Chickee’s. The frame was made of logs and the roof was covered of Palmetto leaves and grasses. It is called a thatch roof. There were no walls in chickees because they weren’t needed in warm southern areas and breezes could blow through. Taliah and Victor

  18. Cherokee The Cherokee lived in houses called chickees. The roof is made out of leaves and grass .The things that they use more is wood and grass. Native Americans used this house for shade and to cook food. Emanuel

  19. Iroquois Iroquois beads were carved from shells corals, turquoise, silver, wood, amber, copper, ivory, animal bones, horns, and teeth. Glass beads were not used until the colonists brought them from Europe 500 years ago. Katherine and Nickolas

  20. Cherokee Tribe The Cherokee men are known for wearing breach cloth. They even wear jewelry that are really claws. Some of them wear necklaces of bear claws. The Cherokee women wear dresses and the same jewelry as the men . Gabriela .

  21. Cherokee Tribe The Cherokee tribes live in the Southeast. It is a land of mountains, rivers, and forests. Their houses were shaped like rocks. Their weapons were spears and arrows. They ate turkey, rabbit and corn mush. Nick

  22. Cherokee For weapons, they used blowguns, bows , knives and spears. The Cherokee tribe are known for growing corn. Corn is their most popular crop. They also like rabbits, turkeys and chicken.BY:Alexis, Manny

  23. Iroquois Tribe The Iroquois clothing is made of animal skin. They used animal skin for shirts, moccasins, leggings and belts. Arts and crafts were made out of cornhusks, beads and shells to make dolls. The Iroquois lived in long houses, wigwams, and tipis. Stephanie and Jered

  24. Iroquois The Iroquois hunted deer for food and clothing. On the right of the picture you will see a man hunting for deer. The Iroquois also lived in a house similar to an igloo called a ‘longhouse’. Carlos and Erick

  25. Navajo The Navajo wore fancy clothes. Men and women wore feathers on their head. The shape of the Hogan is round and it looks like a big mud house. The Navajo tribe lives in the Hogans made of mud. Richmond and Diego

  27. Nez Perce This picture represents the type of clothing worn by the Nez Perce earrings Indians. The Nez Perce tribes usually wear head bands, feathers, and necklaces make out of deer skin. They wear these dressings for Tribal Celebrations. Emily and Annika

  29. Pueblo The Pueblo used weapons to hunt. The weapons were spears, bows and arrows, tomahawks and shields. The Pueblo tribes are known for eating buffalo, nuts, corn, vegetables, and squash. The men hunt for deer and buffalo. Deer and buffalo are used for clothing. Cari and Logan

  30. Pueblo Tribe P The Pueblos lived in a house called a hogan. Pueblos made the hogans with dirt, mud and water.   31. Sioux Tribe By: Brenda, Kirke, Kyaut A Sioux Native American is spear fishing. Oh look, he caught a fish. The Sioux ride in canoes along rivers and streams while they catch fish. The Native American is wearing buffalo skin pants, a shirt and a feather headdress. Just watch them go.

  32. Iroquois Northeast In the winter the Iroquois Indians cut holes in the frozen lakes to fish. The Iroquois men even fish when it is snowing. The woman’s job is to cook the fish. They cook them in the tepees. Thomas and Nidia
