  1. Citizens Without Borders SYNOPSIS Citizens Without Borders is the story of an immigrant who regrets his decision. He leaves everything behind to chase the European dream; it quickly turns into a nightmare and makes our protagonist long to return to Africa, something that is not so easy for someone lost in the limbo of the undocumented. THE PROJECT This is Nollywood, the Nigerian audiovisual industry. In the 90s, when the rest of African film industries were decaying after the States retired its support, in Nigeria, while the country was on its knees due to the corruption and violence of the military dictatorship, a loadful of VHS virgin tapes with no exit in the market originated one of the most relevant phenomena in the world’s audiovisual. Producing over 1,000 titles per year and having secured a loyal audience both in Nigeria and beyond, Nollywood is again morphing into a global player, targeting new territories and reaching more quality, while preserving its essence. This project is a unique opportunity to take part in this dynamic industry. The script is available in English. Lexy Uyi Osunde
