  3. Northeast Texas CAMS Monitors

  4. In 2012, 4th high value decreased relative to 2011 for all three monitors

  5. All three monitors attain the 2008 NAAQS using 2008-2010 data • Longview does not attain if 2009-2011 or 2010-2012 data are considered

  6. 4th High Ozone Values Needed to Attain the NAAQS in 2013 • Table shows 4th high value needed in 2013 for monitor to achieve current NAAQS of 75 ppb • 4th high of 67 ppb or lower at Longview produces DV that attains • Lowest 4th high at C19 was 71 ppb in 2008

  11. June 26, 2012 Back Trajectories Ending at 4pm Longview Tyler • High ozone at Tyler and Longview • High regional background ~65 ppb • Late afternoon peak at Tyler is likely due to Tyler urban plume • Little SO2 at Tyler and Longview 1-Hour Ozone

  13. June 27, 2012 Back Trajectories Ending at 4pm Longview Tyler • High ozone at all three monitors • Very high (~75 ppb) background ozone • Morning power plant impact at Longview 1-Hour Ozone

  15. August 9, 2012 Back Trajectories Ending at 5 pm Longview Tyler 1-Hour Ozone • Very high (~70 ppb) background ozone • Unusual wind speed/direction • Small amounts of SO2 present at Longview and Tyler indicate power plants contribute but are not primary cause of high ozone

  17. August 10, 2012 Back Trajectories Ending at 5 pm Longview Tyler 1-Hour Ozone • Very high (~65 ppb) background ozone • Wind shift • Late afternoon Longview peak may be HRVOC impact • Early morning SO2 impacts at Longview and Tyler, but little SO2 present during ozone peaks
