16. Example of Protein Synthesis • Transcription- using DNA to make mRNA. This occurs in the nucleus and after it’s over the completed mRNA leaves the nucleus, goes out into the cytoplasm and finds a ribosome.

19. Example of Protein Synthesis • Translation – when a ribosome reads mRNA and matches amino acids to it in order to build a protein. tRNA brings the amino acids to the ribosome. This entire process takes place in the cytoplasm. Use one of the codon tables to match the mRNA codons to the amino acids.
