What is a Tablet Pc? • A tablet personal computer or tablet pc is a tablet sized computer that also has the key features of a full size Pc. • A tablet pc is essentially a small laptop computer, equipped with a rotatable touchscreen as an additional input device, and running a standard (or lightly adapted)pc operating system like windows or Linux.

Use of Tablet Pc • Business and Legal • Tablet PCs allow users to write directly on the PC screen, saving handwritten content in a digital format; this is ideal for digitizing business contract signatures. • Medical Offices • With many medical offices switching to digital charts, portable tablet PCs allow nurses and doctors to scribe quick notes and record patient history. • Education • Some high-tech classrooms are switching to tablet PCs because they allow the teacher to quickly write a note on a flat desktop tablet without having to stop lecturing or turn away from the class to scribble a chalkboard note. • Graphic Design • Tablet PCs are regularly used for graphic design purposes because they allow the user to literally draw on the PC with a pen instead of the typical poorly responsive PC mouse. • Writing • Some journalists and writers opt for tablet PCs because they find it easier to handwrite, but prefer the convenience, easy storage and multiple file backup options of computer-based writing.
