  3. Purpose: Recognize high achievement in Spanish and Portuguese and to promote a continuity of interest in Hispanic Studies and the need to be bilingual

  5. Membership Requirements • Three semesters of Spanish in the upper grades • Maintain an honor average in their Spanish class

  6. Society Induction • Inaugural induction held March 23rd, 2009 • 15 members inducted

  12. Projects • Read classics in Spanish to elementary students at Gove • Conduct a Spanish Spelling Bee at Gove Elementary • Visit nursing homes in Miami and entertain the residents with Spanish songs
