Re-Cap Major Changes • A separate STTR solicitation will be released at a later date. • At least ONE letter of technology support is required. • Before submitting a proposal TALK to the Cognizant Program Officer • Only accepting SBIR proposals for the June 10 and December 4 deadline dates. • Companies may ONLY submit 4 proposals in total per organization. • Must respond to the NEW topics. • Biotech and Chemical Technologies • Electronics, Components, and Engineering Systems • Software and Services

  3. A Few Word about STTR? • Will have a stand alone solicitation • More focused topics that connect better with research partners • Strengthening partnerships with universities and non-profits • Working with the research directorates within NSF to help make introductions to NSF academic supported researchers

  4. Timing • Current SBIR solicitation NSF 08-548(http://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2008/nsf08548/nsf08548.htm) • June 10 first opportunity • December 4 second opportunity • STTR solicitation to be released late 2008 early 2009 • Due date TBD • Topic(s) TBD
