  3. Patriotism: • Coat of arms: white Eagle. denotes positive and supportive attitudes to a fatherland, by individuals and groups. The fatherland (or motherland) can be a city or a region, but pariotism usually applies to a nation and / or a nation state. Pariotism covers such attiutudes as: pride in its achievements and culture, the desire to preserve its character and the basis of the culture and identification with other members of the nation.

  4. National anthem: Mazurek Dąbrowskiego. • In 1927 ”Mazurek Dąbrowskiego” became official hymn for Poland. • Józef Wybicki wrote it.

Famous Poles • Czesław Miłosz - was born on 1911 and died on 2004 - lawyer, Polish translater and diplomat, poet, prosaist, essayist, historian of literature. • Henryk Sienkiewicz - was born on 1846 and died on 1916 - novelist and publicist, laureate of Nobel Prize in sphere in literature for ensemble of creation.

  8. Famous Poles • Adam Mickiewicz - was born on 1798 and died 1855 - poet Polish, politcial publicist. • Wisława Szymborska - was born on 1923 - poet Polish, translator and literature critic, laureate of literature Nobel Prize.
