  2. Genres for the Second Semester: Choose 6 of the 8 genres Fantasy Realistic Fiction Current Event Graphic Novel Mystery A book in a series Informational, Nonfiction Text- Science or historical Biography

  3. IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW • Parents are required to sign each form. Please be sure to get your parents signature! • You will receive a major grade in READING for each quarter. • Three forms completed: 100% • Two forms completed: 85% • One form completed: 70% • No forms completed: 50% 3. YOU CAN ONLY TURN IN 2 FORMS PER WEEK!

  4. You must complete 6 different genres by the end of the semester • Example: If you turn in a biography for the first quarter, you may not turn in another biography for the second quarter. You will turn in a total of six different genres by January 22nd

  5. IF YOU CAN NOT PRINT THE GENRE FORMS!!! Please communicate with your teacher! She can help you print the forms! This is not an excuse to not participate in the program.

  6. Rewards this semester • 50% of goal (3 forms) =Plush bean bag animals and an extra recess • 100% of goal (6 forms) = Homework Pass and a TV show party
