  4. The book of Leviticus • Not the most familiar book for Christians. • Spending time reading the book can aid us tremendously! • Contains very practical lessons concerning the concept of holiness. • So much is echoed in the New Testament.

Leviticus 19 • So many lessons in this chapter! • Verses 5-8: Offer sacrifices as the law prescribes so they will be accepted by God . • Verses 11-12: Good to remember! • Verse 15: Principle is echoed in James, chapter 2. • Verse 16: Talebearer is synonymous with slanderer, malicious gossiper (1Tim 5:13) • Verse 17: You shall not hate your brother “in your heart” • Verse 18: Compare, contrast… • Vengeance; bear any grudge; love; I am the Lord.
