Improving IT Skills 3 Strands of generic training: • Corporate IT Induction – for all new staff • ACS Induction – regular slot at new Team Induction process • ECDL • 3 (of 7) modules mandatory – Basics, Comms & Word • 500 ACS staff registered • Over 1,000 tests – 900 passes • Average passing score of 89% • Launched area by area • At least 3 workshops/week – running at capacity
ACS Infrastructure • Over 1200 PCs - and growing • Around 70 networked sites • Using 1500 e-mail accounts • All part of the Corporate “standard” • Fully supported - and kept “up to date” • Additional 100 PCs & Link to the NHS • Need improved mobile working – intelligent pens and tablet pcs
IRIS, eSAP & the “Link” IRIS • Live in Hertsmere EPD – Nov04. 150 staff, 8 sites • Live in St Albans EPD – July05. ??
