Twisted Truths • Released false or exaggerated information about Jessica Lynch, an American Soldier, and her time in Iraq • Said she was tortured and raped • In reality she was injured and cared for in an Iraqi hospital • Stem Cell Research • stated that 60 stem cell lines were available for testing • 60 existed but only 24 were fully developed • Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq • (All the Presiden’t Spin: George W. Planting Stories • Judith Miller: • Administration planted news sources with her and the NY Times • She is the journalist that leaked Valerie Plame Wilson’s identity as a spy • Later was indicted and said that Scooter Libby told her the story • Valerie Plame Wilson: • CIA Agent, whose husband worked for the government and released a statement saying that the link between Iraq and Yellow Cake Uranium from Africa were false. Soon after her identity as a spy was leaked • Armstrong Williams • Reporter who was paid by the Bush Administration to publicly support the “No Child Left Behind” law without reporting this payment.
