  3. Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport Employee of the Quarter

  4. Carpet Replacement Project • $319K project to replace over 50,000 SF of carpet throughout the public spaces of the terminal • Custom design evoking the Emerald Coast and 100% recycled product • 45-day contract beginning evening of 23 August with typical work times of 7pm to 3am

  5. TWYs D1/D2 Rehab & West Apron Blast Fence • $2.3M project (~180 days) to resurface taxiways from Eglin runways to VPS AOA • Phased closure of Twy D1 (100 days) and Twy D2 (50 days) • Includes signage work, seal shoulders, taxiway lights regulator, and new blast fence on the west apron • Bid opening 23 August; construction estimated to start in November; haul routes and impact to public/tenants

  6. Security Bollards • Project to enhance security at the front curb and sides of terminal • Includes removable bollard on the AOA for tug passages under the concourse • Bid documents completed and will go to Purchasing for advertisement in early September • Construction estimated to begin in November; phased impact of slab removal at front entrances

  7. Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) & Other Notable Project Highlights • SWPPP • Multi-Sector General Storm Water Permit (MSGP) re-applied for entire site • Must update SWPPP document as a requirement of the permit every 4 years; purpose is to manage storm water runoff and protect receiving surface and ground water sources from pollutants • Most tenants are considered co-permitees and therefore questionnaire response is critical to entire team • DRAFT SWPPP from Hanson Engineering; Key highlights are improved annual inspections and training to include SPCC • Other Project Notes • Fuel Farm Expansion – increased commercial traffic compounded on top of Twy D1/D2 project • Hwy 85 Exit Sign & BHS Recapitalization Projects Complete

POLICY AND PROCEDURES UPDATE • Badge Audit and Process • FY2017 Audit Report • Upcoming changes to Badge Procedures (location) • Airport Re-Key Effort • New Key form and issuing process • On-Airport Parking • All Airport employees will be required to display a VPS parking decal on their vehicle regardless of parking lot used • Fuel Operations • Policy will be issued that changes the current process for key and PIN issue

  10. TSA Current Events • Enhanced Accessible Property Screening (EAPS) • EAPS Training will begin in late September. Implementation to be announced. Main focus is to simplify the screening of the “carry on bag” process. • Note: This process will require MORE electronic items to be divested. • Media tour of TSA Technology and Layers of Security. Friday August 25, 2017 • 9/11 Commemoration 7:45 Monday September 11, 2017 • The TSA Security operations were very successful thanks to everyone’s support and cooperation during the peak traveling season. On behalf of the entire TSA team, thanks for a successful summer!
