TLT Catch up • Learning Institutes/ Think Tanks- start next week  • Weekend Workshops – Differentiation in Jan, Inquiry in Feb, Inquiry in Math in March, Learning to Lead in May • Exemplar units – from a range of grades and subjects. Volunteer for review • Unit review process started, draft tool being trialed in MS • Rubicon Atlas will be reintroduced in 2015 • Faculty Grant Proposal – to Board in February for approval

  3. PD funds • Personal PD – 3 year roll over. After 3 years unused funds revert back to central funds. Apply by end of March. • Pending Board approval we expect it will go up to $1500 per teacher, TPs $750. Part time is pro rata • School wide PD fund (not from your Personal PD fund)- May be used for courses such as Columbia TC, Next Frontier Inclusion, AISJ weekend workshops, ASB unplugged • IBDP fund - courses as required by the IBO

  4. PGCT Calendar • Green- Learning Institutes x2 year • Yellow- whole school TLT planning • Blue- divisionally planned by your principals • Calendar is reviewed every week at LT meetings. Changes are often made. Updated every week on the TLT blog

TLT planned PGCTs (the yellow ones) This time will be used for: • reviewing units- horizontally and vertically • alignment of units with S+B • embedding service learning • horizontal and vertical alignment • integrating units with other subjects (where appropriate) • investigating subject specific S+B and alignment with units • think tank reviews and learner practice rubrics • plus some small group breakouts (LS team, Rubicon Atlas group, accreditation, etc)

Strategic goals for June 2014 • Faculty grant proposal completed for implementation in 2014 • Finance - 3% of annual expenses to go towards teachers’ PD (most intl schools average <1%) • MAP data analysis • Tech facilities plan • Matrix of units • Bank of exemplar units • All units completed- key intended learnings clearly articulated • Service learning unit per grade/ subject • Draft of learner practice rubrics: • Service learning • Connected learners • Independent learners • Conceptual learners • Learning support admissions policy and processes updated and implemented • Learning support systems reviewed and refined and handbook developed

  7. HS Teacher Expectations for June 2014 • Unit writing: • Allunits (all stages) written for all subjects/ grades by June and submitted to TLT • Service Learning • Service learning embedded into at least one unit for all grades/depts

  8. MS Teacher Expectations for June 2014 • Unit writing: • All units written for all subjects/ grades by June and submitted to TLT • Unit review • MS one unit peer reviewed and reviewed by TLT • Service Learning • Service learning embedded into at least one unit for all grades/ depts

ES Teacher Expectations for June 2014 • Unit writing: • All specialists- units (all stages) for all grades written and submitted to TLT • All Math, Science and Social Studies units (all stages) written for all grades and submitted to TLT • ES literacy units outlined, but not necessarily completed • Service Learning • Service learning embedded into at least one unit for all grades/ depts

  11. How we are going to support you • Coaching help is available whenever you need it- book us! • PGCT in March, April and May • Learning Institutes, think tanks and weekend workshops • We can also support your mid-year goal reflections

For the next hour and half • Review your unit status as a team • Which units are completed (check these have been sent to TLT) • Which units still need to be completed: • Who is going to complete what? • When will they get done? • Send this information to TLT • Which units have potential for service learning inform Tara which unit this will be THANK YOU!
