Tarja, a new older generation Facebook user • Tarja had heard about Facebook from her children but when a co-worker told her about the Familytree-application she really got interested • She had wanted to do a little genealogy on her family for a while but didn’t want to put too much effort on it • She knew that she had relatives overseas but records of them were nonexistent • She decided to put up a profile for a family tree

How everything worked? • Searching was easy, Tarja could look people up with personal details she had on them and also create family tree-profiles for those she couldn’t find • the application also suggested possible ”matches” based on the information in the database • Her personal newsfeed provided her with information if any of the people on her familytree had added new relatives on their trees • The information was shared collectively  Tarja was able to find relatives she didn’t even know she had
