feedback on film ideas

1. Feedback on my film ideas (opening sequence) At the beginning of our task we had 3 film ideas. We shared our thoughts and ideas to our classmates and then ended up having only 2 ideas. As we were talking about the films, everyone gave each other a feedback. Overall, everyone really liked the ideas for my films. Film 1 “I really like the Race story because in the beginning everything seems very normal and nothing looks suspicious. I think it’s so smart because it’s completely unexpected. The audience can’t tell what kind of story is awaited and how things are going to turn around. The viewers just think that it is the start of the Game but when they realize it wasn’t the start and someone got shot it gives us an effect of everyone who is watching the film some kind of interest in what is going to happen next and there are many questions in their heads. Also, the gunshot is a really prominent sound and usually it would be used to make the audience feel fear but in the scene they think it’s fine. But I guess it’s not very long like we would have to build it up a lot for the sequence to last. Everyone is confused, and I think that it is the best idea for an opening sequence to start with messing up with the audience minds.” Film 2 “I also like the other story about the girls playing the board game. It’s good because it’s like a classic scary story so you know it would scare the audience and get them interested. It is also a really cool idea because in the beginning it’s just those two little girls playing the game which is also scary and creepy as we don’t know what the game is about and what it the purpose of them playing it. But when the loud sound comes it is even more scary and terrifying as we think that this is the start of the film but then we just see as a girl pops her head out of the door and asking a question which is kind of related to the board game that the girls are playing, but the other girl never gets an answer to her question. I also like the idea of the edit when she burns the board game in the fire place and then we see her all grown up which also gives us some kind of idea of confusion as we have all of these thoughts and ideas in our head and it really makes us interested in what is actually going to happen in the end and how are things going to turn out. Also, it would definitely allow us to use loads of cool sound and lighting effects to make it scarier.”
