  2. Standards (Professional Standards) What? Descriptions of what a profession believes its members should be able to do, to know, and value. What can they do? Guide expectations, give something to aspire to, and to reflect against. Serve as a focus for professional development. Raise the status of, and stakeholder confidence in the profession.

  3. Professional Standards – Workshop Tasks Task 1: Under, ‘Be able to do’, ‘Know’, and ‘Value’. Generate a numbered list of statements you might expect to see relative to each heading. Task 2: Indicate where the evidence might be found for each of the statements Task 3: Repeat with students and cross reference?
