  5. Vs. 21,The conclusion and summary of her seductive prowess.

  6. “With her many” ROB, רֹב, A multitude, extensive in quantity. In many ways she seduced him including, “Appetite, Beauty and Ambitious Pride.”

  7. Ezek 28:16, “By the abundance (ROB) of your (Satan’s) trade you were internally filled with violence, and you sinned; therefore I have cast you as profane from the mountain of God. And I have destroyed you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.”

  10. In the negative sense the seductive words and persuasiveness of a harlot. Her speech as a world (cosmic) viewpoint.

  11. She (Satan) puts intensive pressure on you, by flattering, enticing and reassuring you until you can no longer resist.

  12. The importance of having the 11 Problem Solving Devices on the FLOT line of our souls so that the outward pressures of life do not become inward stress upon your soul.

  19. “She entices him” NATAH, נָטָה “To spread out, to turn aside or to bend down.”

  20. She caused him to “turn aside” from the path of righteousness to walk in the path of sin and evil.

  21. She caused him to “bend down” to a counterfeit religious system.

  22. He has been “spread out” for sacrifice on her false altar, her bed.

  23. “She Seduces Him” NADACH, נָדַח“To be scattered, to be banished, to thrust, to mislead, and to wield.”

  24. In 2 Chron 13:9, priests were expelled by the first king of the Northern Kingdom of Israel, Jeroboam I, who replaced the Levitical priests descended from Aaron with illegitimate ones.

  25. “Impelled to do something”, to lure into idolatry and the worship of false gods.Deut 4:19; 13:13; 30:17

  27. NADACH - “To wield, or bring (against).” Swinging an ax against something, i.e., a person or a tree.Deut 19:5; 20:19

  28. Figuratively of bringing evil and destruction on something or someone,2 Sam 15:14.

  29. 3. Vs. 22-23, The Man Caught in the Trap.Cf. Prov 5:9-14; 6:15, 26-29.

  30. This naïve young man is lacking in both the resources to resist and the wisdom simply to separate himself from the adulteress.

  31. “Suddenly”, PITHOM, פִּתְאוֹם24 of 25 times it appears in a context of disaster or judgment, Prov 6:15. It implies that the fool acted without reflection but allowed his glands to do his thinking for him.

  32. “Ox” - SHOR, שׁוֹר. He follows her not as a wise and intelligent individual, leading her as he should by making good decisions from God’s Word in his soul, but as one that is led around by the nose.

  33. “Slaughter” - TEVACH, טֶבַח. Its primary use refers to people as victims of slaughter, particularly as a result of God’s judgment.Cf. Isa 34:2; 53:7; 65:12; Jer 48:15; 50:27.

  34. “Fetters” EKES, עֶכֶס“Anklet, bangles or the stocks.” The material used to lead someone to the slaughter.

  35. Isa 3:16, “Moreover, the LORD said, “Because the daughters of Zion are proud and walk with heads held high and seductive eyes, and go along with mincing steps and tinkle the bangles on their feet.”

  36. It describes both self induced misery under the Law of Volitional Responsibility and Divine discipline from the Lord.

  37. “Discipline of a fool.”The one who hates wisdom and walks in folly, despising wisdom and morality, will reap discipline.
